Trying to connect to xbox live. Keep getting error that tells me to change my MTU to 1364 or higher. Im an idiot can you tell me how to change this setting. tried admin & blank password did not work....

If your Linksys is still in its factory condition, admin is the Password, leave the user blank. However, the issue may be the firmware version according to the Linksys site. Go to this link and follow the procedures for setting up your Linksys router and pay special attention to section ii and follow the link provided to ensure your firmware is up to date. If you don't want to update the firmware, then turn off uPNP and change the MTU setting to manual and 1500.

All Linksys routers have a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.

NOTE: Before accessing the router's web-based setup page, make sure the router is powered on and the computer is wired to one of the Ethernet ports on the router (1, 2, 3 or4 ).

: This procedure will reset your router to factory defaults. Any settings on the router will be erased. The router's IP address will be "192.168.1.1" and the password will be "admin".

    Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank then enter your router's password ("admin" is the default password), then click OK.

I can't remember my network password..i tried to go to 191.168.1.1 for the main Linksys site but nothing happens ?..tried "admin", no luck..please help

If you haven't changed the default values for username and password, tyr to leave lthe username field empty and enter 'admin' in the password field only.
    Just my 2 cents...
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.

Why doesn't my computer connect to the linksys site?

    Hi,
Don't type it in the google bar, but instead the address bar located in the top left. Also make sure that you have the correct address for your router. It may be 192.168.0.1.
