Putting a belt back on. On a front load Washing Machine

You need to loosen the motor fitting or the pulley settings so that the belt can be place over the groove of the pullery and pushed forward so that it will fall into place.
If you use a small lever to wedge it will be easier to push it on to the pulley .
Place one end to the pulley and push forward.

I'm sorry but I do not know your particular machine but here are instructions which are suitable for most front loaders.

REMOVE POWER FROM THE MACHINE AND REMOVE THE BACK. I have to assume that the back is removable.
The motor support bolts should be loosened and the old belt removed. Often putting the new belt on is a bit of a struggle, even with the motor 'loose', because it is new and smaller!
Once on it should be tensioned by pulling the motor against the belt firmly- but not over tight- and the motor support bolts tightened.
ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD ANY FORM OF LEVERAGE BE USED TO TENSION THE BELT. THAT COULD LEAD TO DAMAGE TO THE BELT, MOTOR AND BEARINGS- EXPENSIVE!

Use the correct sized belt!!

Loosen the Motor mounting Bolts. ( Do not take it off ) Now the motor assembly can be moved towards the opposite large pulley.

Replace the belt in this position and slide the motor to it's original position. You adjust it in such away so that, the belt is not too tight or loose!

Your belt is stretched...........

There is only one belt, you have to access it from the back, removing the center panel. These belts are really tight when you install the new one you have to rotate it on, and you may thing the belt is too small, but it requires force. Some models you can move motor by loosening the lock bolt to gain some play, usually not much if any.

Remember to unplug before service, and watch for sharp metal edges....

can u put a lock washer on bolt or lock tight grease ?

turn it back to you, there is an opening at the back, just remove the screw, you will see the inside of the body, at the bottom you will where is your driven belt located, loosen the foot bracket of the motor holding the belt so that you can remove it, just remeber the part number of the belt or much better bring it with so that you ca have an actual comparisson, different brands and model of washing machine have different types of belt

when you put it back don't make it to tight, just enough that i won't slip once you turn it on.

hi The drive belt (or belts) of a washing machine may become worn or damaged, causing noisy operation or stopping the washer entirely. A damaged drive belt is easy to replace. Remove the back panel of the washer to gain access to the belt. To remove the belt:

Step 1: Loosen the bolt on the motor bracket and move the motor to put slack in the belt.

Step 2: Remove the old belt and stretch a new one into place on the pulleys.

Step 3: To put tension on the new belt, use a hammer handle or a short pry bar to push the motor into position while you tighten the bolt in the adjustable bracket. The belt should have about 1/2 inch deflection when you press on it at the center point, midway between the pulleys. If the belt is too loose, it will slip on the pulleys, causing the machine to malfunction. If the belt is too tight, it will wear very quickly and will probably become so hot that it will start to smoke or smell.

Loose pulleys can also cause problems. Most pulleys are fastened to shafts with setscrews around the hub of the pulley. These screws must be tight or else the pulley or belt will slip. The resulting malfunction may seem to be caused by a faulty motor, but it can be corrected by tightening the pulleys and adjusting the belt. For this reason, always check the belts and pulleys before working on the motor.

You shouldn't have to loosen it, put the belt on the motor first and half way round the drum pully, turn the pulley slowly holding the belt in place and the belt should go on.

I have a Performa Model PAV3200AWW that would go unbalanced every time it would go into a spin cycle. I found the problem to be a worn out snubber. This is a plastic ring that is at the pivot point for the whole tub. It separates the metal to metal contact at the bottom of the washer pivot point. The part is less than ten dollars, but it is a quit a job to replace. I had to remove the whole tub to replace mine, but it did solve the problem. If you see a lot of plastic shavings around the pivot point, then this could be your problem.
