An exact make and model number is needed on all dryers, or any appliance for that matter, for an answer.
Every make/model of appliance uses different style parts to hold the door closed. Some are a simple spring clip inside the front panel, while some models can range up to complex electrical-activated locking mechanisms. A make/model will pinpoint your exact defective part.

SOURCE: dryer door will not stay closed tight enough to

Push the pin switch in and see if she will run with the door open. If you put in the metal clips, the usually nylon, receiver part may be bad from forcing it the last few times. These are easily cracked with very little effort, and a somewhat bent prong on the actual door.

Video on how to fix driver side door linkage on 2010 cad escalaid

On most cars the rods will only fit in one location due to the way they are bent and the length of each rod. In other words, if you put one end in the wrong location, the opposite end cannot be connected to anything. The ends sit inside a plastic holder then the shaft snaps in place to secure it. You may have a broken plastic clip that needs replacing, but a close look at the clips and any loose rods and you should be able to tell which rod goes where.

Can I have my broken door fixed?

A door clip don't cost much go to an appliance parts dealer & pick one up. If you can't put it on find someone to put it on for you. Not hard at all.

The dryer door will not latch shut. The clip in the door has come loose and will not connect with the small metal pronge attached to the dryer.

Dryer door tch kits are less than $10 and simple snap in. Yank the old one out and snap in the newthemobilian_979.jpg

I WILL NOT COME ON. ITS PLUGGED IN BUT IT WONT TURN ON WHEN I PUSH THE START BUTTON.

Could be: Fuse? You have power to the dryer? Door closed? Door closed sensor broken? Power on switch broken? Dryer may have an over-heat snap disk that interrupts power.

Dryer door won't stay shut when drying clothes

There is a clip inside your dryer door that acts as snap (kinda like on baby clothes). It snaps the door closed - so to speak. If the outer part of that 'snap' gets a little stretched out it will not hold as tightly. When those heavy, wet clothes hit against the door it pops it open because the 'snap' is not working right. As long as the outer part of the 'snap' is still intact, you can fix this problem by simply squeezing it together alittle to make it grab tighter so that the door stays closed while drying your clothes. If that doesn't make it tight enough you could tear off a small corner of a paper towel to fill in the hole a little to make it tighter.

Hope this info was helpful to you. Good Luck!

Dryer won't start, has power to timer, I assume it is either the on button, or door closed switch, but don't know how to disassemble.

CHECK DOOR FIRST BUT MAKE SURE POWER IS OFF , LOOK A DOOR LATCH AND YOU WILL SEE TWO SKREWS REMOVE THESE AND CLIP OUT OF DOOR CHECK FOR BREAK IF NONE CHECK SWITCH LOOK FOR SKREWS AROUND PANEL OF DRYER REMOVE AND TAKE OF PANEL CHECK SWITCH FOR BROKEN WIRES OR LOOSE CONECTIONS.

Whirlpool Front Loader Dryer Door will NOT stay closed

I have the same issue with the door popping open. If you push hard on the bottom of the door then it snaps in. I think the bottom latch is broken or misalligned.

The manual window handle on my 2003 Escort ZX2 snapped?

You will have to replace your "window regulator". Normal 0

Locate and remove the screws that hold yourinterior door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap onclips). Remove the interior door handles. Your panel is held in place by snap in clips; use a small pry bar topull them from the door (try to get as close to, or directly under the clips toprevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are pulled, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door. Once you have access to the inside of the door, you will be able to see the bolts that retain the window regulator, remove them, and replace the regulator.
