PAPER JAMS

posted by funwio on Nov 11, 2007

There is a constant paper jam in my Xerox work center 610. Every time I try to print or copy a document it stops printing and a message comes up asking me to clear the paper jam. I open and clears it and the problem comes right back the next time.
How do I fix that?
HELP!!
I have the same problem.

Does the fault clear when you open/close? If it does you probably don't have a jam.
Does the machine begin to try to make copies, then stop-if so it has probably failed to feed off the tray, hence the jam message. If this is the case, pull out the paper tray, check for obstructions, clean feed rollers and try again. Are there "skid marks on the paper(indicating the rolls have turned?) If so rolls could be dirty/worn. If no skid marks, can you determine if the rolls did in fact turn? Go from there
