Replace level indicator in washer

sounds like your water level switch is bad OR the small hose that goes from the waterlevel switch to the bottom of the tank has a hole in it.Try replacing this small hose first.you can go to an auto parts store and match it up.it's usually about 3' long and about 1/4" inside diameter and about 99cents a foot.

Its possible that the motor is bad but that possibility is at the lower end of the list. You can check this by this method. 1) Unplug the machine. 2) At the head, or control panel, find the two screws that hold it to the case. Some are on the left and right front lower corners of the panel, and some are vertical facing s on the rear left and right side. Also on some models they are in the front but you have to pull the end caps off the sides of the control panel. Further more in some of the newer models you have to take a thin paint scraper and slide under the left and right normers to press the clips in to release. 3) Remove the 2 screws and then pull the panel from the lower part of it towards you and roll it backwards. 4) Disconnect the lid switch connection in the the middle where the two grey wires and the green wire block connects to the body of the machine, usually near the middle under the panel. 5) with a flathead screwdriver pop out the two brass retainer clips on the right and left side. 6) Open the lid slightly where you can grab the case, not the tub, just the case, and pull forward and surprise!!! You just took the complete top, sides and front of the machine off. 7) get a jumper wire and find the block that you disconnected that wasn't attached to the caseand place the jumper where in the holes where the is a wire other than green, which is ground. This is for later on. 8) Now directly at the bottom center area you;ll see a plastic box looking thing with two hoses connected to it. Thats the pump. Its held on by two clips.Remove the pump. 9) being careful, plug the machine in and let in fill, with the pump off but the hoses still connected to it. When it reaches the agitate part of the motor starts working then something is caught in the pump. Empty the water so you don't flood the area, take the hoses off and remove obstruction. If the motor still hums leave the water in, unplug the machine, and move to next step. 10) The motor is held on by two clips as well except these are screwed to the motor with two quarter inch screws. Remove the screws, pop the clips then take the motor off. You'll notice on the back side a piece of plastic with three prongs. Thats the motor coupling. Plug the washer back in and turn it on, if the motor shaft turns the transmission is locked up, if not the motor is bad. I mention the motor coupling because to put its actually three pieces, one peice that looks like the one on the motor a rubber thing that has six holes, one for each leg of the coupling. You'll have to line that up to get the motor back on. Well, hope this hwlps, good luck.
