Internal fuse is probably blown. Are you able to use a multimeter?
You need to disconnect from mains and check continuity through the thermostat and fuse.

Not sure what your model number but following is for H-6003.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
•
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet
(110-120V AC, 60Hz)
•
This heater has only one (1) power setting, pressing the
rocker switch to the ON position, it will give you 700 watts
of heat. When you want to switch off, then just press
the switch to the OFF position.
•
When the unit is turned on the power indicator light will
illuminate to tell you that the heater is functioning.
THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS:
•
Before setting the thermostat, allow the heater to operate
and warm up the room. You need to set the thermostat
on MAX to start the heater.
•
When the desired temperature/comfort level is reached,
lower the thermostat setting until the heater stops
operating.
•
The control will now automatically maintain the pre-set
temperature level by turning the heater ON and OFF
How old is it and has it had lots of continual use?
If it's old and you've used it a lot I'd suspect corroded wires. I've fixed many of these all with the same problem. The wires corrode to the point where they just fall away from where they were attached. I've seen switches get brittle and break apart and thermostats go bad.
Take the cover off a look at the ends of each wire. I just replace them when the ends don't look so good. Make sure you use the same gauge or thicker wires with high-temp insulation.
Newer heaters usually have fuses so look anywhere you haven't looked before where there is a power wire.
I am having issue with model no 5848 heater that turns on but then it shuts right BK off & the lights just blink so I've unplugged for bout 10 mins & plugged it BK in but nuttin worked... Some 1please help
I have the Optimus quartz heater , model H-5300-BK . The top two elements are always on in the # 2 position , the thermostat only works on the bottom three elements. Question ; Can I removed the top two elements , so the thermostat controls the total heater. [email protected]
there's no reset, but unscrew the 3 screws in the back. Cut out white sleeve that covers the red & white wires. Take the fuse out from beginning to end. Attach the white & red wires directly. The fuse is not needed. Wrap w/ electrical tape. You, me and everyone that has bought this heater had the same problem. I called customer support. This is what they told me.
Check on the heater coil using the multi-tester. Set it at Ohms 1 x 10 position. 1. Switch it off and disconnect it . 2. Disassemble the electric heater. 3. Put the multi-tester probe (red and black) at each end of the heater coil. 4. If the reading is almost zero, then it is okey. Otherwise, you have to replace it. 5. Then, reassemble the electric heater. 6. Plug it back to the electric outlet, and switch on.
I have the same problem. I removed the center panel on the back of the dish and found a fuse inside a white insulating sleeve. The fuse is open, preventing the current from reaching the heating coils. On the fuse it says 121 C. and 15 A.; I assume that it is designed to blow if the temp. of the dish exceeds 121 centigrade or the current exceeds 15 Amps. I don't see any reason to believe that either has happened so I suspect that these fuses just spontaneously fail. Now I just need to find a source for new ones. I wouldn't recommend jumping the fuse as it could lead to a fire.
