What model acer do you have? What is the product number? What version of windows is it running? I had one Acer that came with a McAfee security suite that was using 90% of the resources when the machine turned on. When you inserted the device into the USB port did it apply the generic driver? Have you rebooted the machine. Did it come with a installation disk? Is the game controller in Device Manager or in Control Panel, Devices or Printers?

The GGE909 uses a flat ribbon cable with eight wires, and has a spring loaded spool to store the cable.
Using a standard cable might work, but the new cable probably won't retract in the spool.

GGE909 can work under Vista and 7 without driver. hoever the "ESC" and "ENTER" key doesn't work. I wondered that the manufacture havn't write driver for Vista and 7.
