I have videoed my holiday on my Go Pro 3 hero black, I can view the video on the Go Pro rear screen but when I connect the camera to my Laptop it shows the individual videos only as sound .. no visual

A SD reader shows the card to be empty but all the videos are watchable on the go Pro rear screen

Thats a weird one, here is my best guess. The formatting of the card is not comparable with your computer. so if your men card is fat32 and you try to read on a mac computer for example. can you try it with another computer. Do you know if your card is ntsf formmat

I have an a issue that can help. Involves the Player that you are using.
If you change the parameters of capture (like resolution or fps), Windows Media Player cannot reproduce them.
To prevent this situation, I recommend to always use QuickTime as default player for my GoPro Videos.

Hero 3 only records for 14 seconds every time
Delete all files and reformat your SD card using the settings option on your GoPro Hero camera. I did and all is back to normal.

Dear friend, if other side does not have a cam or does not put the cam on mode for you then your not able to view them. Some time other side camera window will open in your Skype but you can't see the image. May be you seen black screen or green. It will happens for the few reason. 1. Slow internet connection, 2. wireless net connection, 3. if the other side camera open for other messenger , for exam Yahoo/msn & at the same time she/he sending you a cam viewing invitation in Skype , that time you will see those screens. 4. After log in go in Privacy then Calls & then open video settings. Now you set the Automatically receive video from mode & try after that to use.

The only connectors on your camcorder are as follows:

1 x microphone
1 x headphones
1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK)
1 x S-Video output
1 x composite video/audio output
1 x Control-L (LANC)
1 x DC power input

If you have an s-video on your laptop you can connect it with an s-video cable and audio cable (red and white one end, black the other end

I am looking at the computer on line and on the Left View, I see a 4 pin iDDD1394 port. You can use this to connect your camera,

Also, on the rear view you do have a s-video port.

You should have no problem connecting the computer and camcorder.
