I accidentally left my samsung yp p2 in my pants while they were in the washer. It won't turn on so I let it dry out in the sun for five minutes and took it back in to connect it to my computer. it then started charging and flashing red to purple! What should I do! my warranty expired and I really loved my mp3 player!

Turn on your computer, turn on Windows Media Player...hook up your MP3 player and it should recognize the player and allow you to put music on it.

Select the Downloads tab and next Firmware.
Under Description look for the word Games. For Win XP / Vista there's
a zip file available (firmware at least upgraded to version 5.08).
Download the zip file "20080717110554593_Games_worldwide.zip":
right click on the file and
next select "Save target as..."
How to upgrade / reinstall the firmware upgrade, go to next link: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/FM/200905/20090507111626062/SW_Upgrade_instruction.pdf
Plug in the P2. Right click on START and click explore. Go to my computer and find something about P2 like portable media device, of samsung, of P2 etc. click on it. A new window should pop up. click internal storage. Go to pictures folder and highlight the ones you want to delete. While holding the left button right click. Click delete. Done. :)
Don't turn it on right away. Water alone does not break electronics. If the player was off when it got washed and it hasn't been turned on since it is probably still OK. If you turn it on when the unit is dry (inside), it will be OK.
But. If you tried it right away, and there was water in it when you turned it on it's game over. The unit will probably short out and never work again.
The question is how do you know when it is dry inside?
