I have the same prob, lost all sounds on Christmas Day. Have tried all the above. Will still playback from the walkman through headphones. Rang T-Mobile yesterday and they said as it is still within warranty (7 months old) can returned it for repair or replacement. I am going to do this, but have had to buy another cheapy phone in the meantime as will take about 2 weeks. The one thing that worries me is that they will say the fault has developed because of something I have done and is therefore not covered under warranty. I'm glad I only have 5 months to go on my contract! My son's W300i packed up after 14 months, I would never have another sony ericsson again!

the phones need to reflash so try topsony.com or if that does not work although it should then take the phone and have the speakers tested

There seems no solution for this. I have the same problem and searched everything on internet. Last choice is to take it to service.

Had the same problem with my w880i.

It is an expensive repair if the phone is not under warranty. If the Audio fails/is faulty (which mine was), the part involved also includes the camera. Any repair will mean that the Camera will also be replaced. I managed to find a repairer who fixed the phone in approximately 2 hours, with labour and parts costing roughly $160.00 Australian Dollars!

Hope it helps. The repair has resolved all the sound issues, the phone now works fine.

I have had 3 Sony Ericsson phones and they have had faults with them within one year. My current one has lost the ring tone, and no it is not on silent. I do not think the next phone I buy will be Sony Ericsson

Mine is a k610i with the same problem. It seems to come back ok if I reset the profiles but then it goes off again and I am always missing calls! This is really bad for business!
