Question about Behringer EUROPOWER EP2500 Amplifier
Hello pare ko.
EP2500 is a pro amp, manufacturer says that. Notorious to me.
Got 5 of these for repair. Clip is of course cause by too much
signal from source. If the amp is still clipped or on protect even w/out
signal in, time to open and do repairs inside. usually a MOSFET
inside P50N06 (50V-60A) is kaput. or MJE15033G and MJE15032G.
Now if blowing main Fuse, main txistor 2SA1943/2SC5200 maybe gone.
Read carefully the setting of your dip switches setting at the back.
This amp can drive 750 watts/ch@4 ohms.
Good Luck From Siliconchip

You try other brand like crown or QSC power amplfier they are the best rather than behringer

the amp you have (assuming it is working properly) is a high power proffessional amplifier which should be able to handle your speaker easily.
However the amp only amplifies the signal it gets: It seems to me as if you fed the amp with a distorted signal comming from the mixer (or whatever source).
For the setup of the amp:
- limiter off (for the sake of testing, if all OK these these on again)
- parallel or bridge mode off !!!!!!!! Use the 'normal' speaker out posts then
- check if input signal is distorted
- subsonic filters can be in

Clipping is caused by too loud a signal for the device to handle....this can be seen by connecting a signal generator to the input of an amplifier then reading the output signal across the speaker terminals with an oscilloscope...when the signal is being clipped the out put signal instead of a nice round curve at the top (or bottom) of the signwave instead its just a straight horizontal line..
I wonder if the amp you purchased is capable of the output sound you expect....the speakers sound like they are very powerfull and can handle the output signal OK, but just maybe the amp has a fault....which is causing the clipping.....
The amp needs to be tested by someone with test gear to ensure its capable if its 200 or (300-400watt) rating...
Maybe any pre-amp you are using has the same type of fault????
