Still under manufacturer's warranty?
Take it to a TV-repair shop, or responsibly recycle it, and buy a new TV.

SOURCE: tv shuts off spontaneously. red power light blinks.

re: sony flat panel lcd tv mod. # klv s 40a10.
No power. When power button is pressed, nothing happens.
The stand-by at the power supply ( cn6201) measures to be 3.47 v. instead of 5 v. However, when I unplug cn6201 (5 pin connector) I can read 5v. at the power supply.
Any suggestions?

I have a oneforall remote urc 3050B00 I have a LG smart TV that I need the code for the remote

Here are the steps to program your OneForAll URC 3050B00 remote to control your LG smart TV:

Turn on your LG smart TV.
Press and hold the "TV" button on your OneForAll remote until the LED light on the remote turns on and stays on.
Enter the 4-digit code for LG TVs. The most common codes for LG TVs are 0030, 0056, 0178, 1265, and 1398, but you can also find a complete list of codes on the OneForAll website or in the manual that came with your remote.
Press the "Power" button on the OneForAll remote. If the TV turns off, the code has been successfully entered. If the TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code until you find the correct one.
If none of the codes work, you can also try the code search function on your OneForAll remote to automatically find the correct code:

Turn on your LG smart TV.
Press and hold the "TV" button on your OneForAll remote until the LED light on the remote turns on and stays on.
Press and hold the "SET" button on the remote until the LED light blinks twice.
Press the "9" button on the remote. The LED light should blink twice again.
Point the remote at your TV and press the "Power" button repeatedly until the TV turns off.
Press the "OK" button on the OneForAll remote to save the code.
I hope this helps you program your OneForAll remote to control your LG smart TV!

My LG 50" smart tv turns off right after I turn it on. The LG logo comes up then disappears then the red power light blinks twice and shuts off. The red power light then returns.

the number of blinks by model tells you information. Look up capacitor failures on that model on youtube. I have a vizio that did the same thing, and it was a $0.11 capacitor I had to replace... took about 30 minutes, and working great. You'll need to see if you can find someone with that same problem on youtube to be able to find it easilly... requires soldering iron... little screwdrivers and some patience. you can do it!

Have a LG 55ls5700 tv that doesn't turn on but the red standby comes on and when i press the power button it starts to blink

Does the screen quickly blink on and then off? Does the standby light slowly blink twice and then go out?If these are the symptoms then it is probably a bad led backlight strip. This was the fault with my lg 47ln540v led lcd tv.I have written this up in a previous post more comprehensively.Hope this helps..

I have an LG DLP. that turns off after 15 -30 seconds

If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.

You can't fix it. There is a bad board in this set; either the main board or the power supply board. You'll have to call a professional.

LG 42 LCD no sound or picture

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.
