A little more info on the nitro bmwx 4738 car dvd player I need to know the pin outs for the plug that has the power and grnd mine is missing. The male reciever socket is rectangular with 8 pins on the top and 8 on the bottom thank you paul

With the power on cross the pins with a slide on connector. When it fires on you know which one is the sw. When you cross the reset it will restart. When you try the HD the light will come on during HD activity. And the power light will work when you have the power light plugged. It isn't to hard. Just be careful.

with the bose sound system you have to bypass the audio system through the factory amp. the factory is located behind the right side of the glove box.

yes if you buy a PCI firewire card they will have 1 or 2 headers on the card so you can fit your front Firewire port to it...
[Belkin cards 99% of the time have headers on the card]
