What are step by step instructions on programming a he universal remote for symphonic tv

Programming a Living Solutions Universal Remote
1. Step 1 Turn on the component you wish to sync to your universal remote--your television, DVD player, VCR or stereo.
   
2. Step 2 Point the remote at the device you are programming and press the corresponding device button on the remote. These buttons are labeled "TV," "VCR", "DVD," etc. Hold the device button for three to five seconds.
   
3. Step 3 Push the power button on the remote. This should turn on the device that you are syncing.
   
4. Step 4 Push the "Channel Up" or "Channel Down" button on your remote gradually until the device that you are programming shuts off.
   
5. Step 5 Press "OK" or "Enter" on the remote once the synced device turns off.
   
6. Step 6 Press the device button for the component you just programmed, and hit the power button while pointing the remote at the component. If programmed correctly, the device should turn on, and you should be able to control it with your Living Solutions Universal Remote.
   

These are the steps on how to program your RCA Universal Remote Control to your Symphonic TV.

1. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.
2. Press and release the TV button. When the TV button flashes proceed to the next step.
3. Enter the three digit code. In your case, the code for the Symphonic TV are 064 or 076.
   
4. Release CODE SEARCH.

The most common problem that causes this is the batteries in the remote.

When you find the correct one I suggest that you save the little booklet that comes with the universal remote in case you need to program it for a different TV or have to re-program it again. It will give you step by step instructions. There may be a search function on the new remote that will allow you to simplify the programming.

1) Turn on your TV.

2) On the remote, press the TV key once.

3) Press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.

4) Enter the first four-digit code from the following list:

0180, 0171

The LED will blink twice.
If it does not blink twice, go back to step 2 and try the same code again.

5) Aim the remote at the TV and press POWER.
The device should turn off.
If it does not turn off, repeat steps 2 through 5 with the next code in the list.

The codes for your Jumbo Universal Remote to control a Symphonic television are 033, 053, 155, 189, and 198.

To program your remote by entering a code, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your TV.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
3. Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
4. Enter the first set of 3-digit codes from the list. The LED will blink once every keypress. After the 3rd digit, the red LED will turn off indicating that the code was recognized for the device. 1) Turn tv on ( i would suggest turning it off then on)
2) Press the Device you want to sync (tv)
3) Press and hold the setup button it will blink once...let it blink twice before you go to the next step.
4) press 9-9-1
5) press the power key on the remote
6) press the channel up (CH +) button repeatedly until the device (tv) turns off.
7) when it cuts off immedieately press the setup button.

One website gives instructions on how to use the AUTO CODE SCAN feature of your remote, even if you don't have the code numbers. Take the following steps to access this info.
Step 1) Type REMOTECODELIST.COM into the Google searchbox, and click on GO or SEARCH.
Step 2) Once you are on the website, scroll down the page until you see JENSEN in big red letters, on the left hand side.
Step 3) Look under JENSEN for SC-540 ( in purple letters), and click on SC-540.
Step 4) Look on the right side of the page for instructions on how to do an AUTO CODE SCAN.
