SOURCE: timer switch mode is inoperable.

With the Dehumidifier switch on, pressing the Timer Button should changed between 2hr and 4hr mode.

If this is what you're doing and it isn't lighting the LED nextto the 2hr and 4hr can you confirm what setting you have for the humidity?

How do you program it to run for "X" number of

This can be confusing and you're not the first to ask. To put it simply you can only program the timer to turn the unit OFF while it's running. For it to turn ON again, say in 4 hours. You have to wait until the unit is in standby mode, then advance the timer to 4 hours. Four hours later it will turn ON and start functioning.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I beleive there is some confusion about the Timer Mode. It can only be set to turn the unit OFF after a selected time period. For example: It's 6pm you want the unit to turn OFF at 10pm. You press the Timer button on the unit itself, in increments, until it reaches 4 hours. At 10pm the unit will turn OFF. As a safety feature, it does not have the capability to turn the unit ON at a selected time and then OFF again. In the interim, until you get really familiar with all the functions of this model, use the control pad on the unit, rather than the remote control.

I hope this helped you understand what the timer does and how to activate & set it.

Just purchased a Danby dehumidifier (model # DDR6O11R). I was wondering when the dehumidifier reaches the programmed level of humidity (example: 40%). Is the unit suppose to shut off completely? I believe...

Depending on which mode you have the unit set on, will determine if it shots OFF entirely or the fan continues to run. In the Constant or Continual mode, the compressor will turn OFF, once the humidity extraction level has been reached. But, the fan will continue to operate, in an effort to keep the air circulating, so that if the humidity level rises, the compressor will turn ON and start extracting again.

In Timed Mode (usually 2 hour or 4 hour) , when the compressor turns OFF the fan does too.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

How do you set it to come on and off automatically

Generally, setting the humidity extraction level to what you want (Remember, the lower the percentage, the more humidity will be extracted) and not operating it in continual run mode will do the trick. Most humidifiers can be set to run in a 2 hour or 4 hour intervals. That means it will run as necessary for 2 or 4 hours and then turn OFF. It will turn back ON again, when the humidity level in the home rises above the setting you have it on.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.
