Ready steam function stopped working; possible clog?

Now discontinued model, FASG7021, front loading stackable dryer. Ready steam function worked well when new, now one month out of warranty appears to be clogged; barely a drip comes out. Is this something I can clean myself? Steam nozzle appears accessible from inside drum. Thanks.

If you have hard water, this can happen with build up.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Steam Dryer Beeps 3 Times But Does Not Start

Brand new unit - same problem. After an hour of investigating, I found the issue.
You don't actually have to SLAM the door. If you look closely, there are 3 separate pins that must latch. One is a simple push-button style which latches no problem.
The others are little prongs at the top and bottom of door. The bottom prong latches cleanly, but the top one will not latch because the door is a bit too flexible.
Close the door normally, then firmly press on the top edge of the door. You will hear the final latch grab, then you press and hold the start button. The dryer starts normally.
Yay!

SOURCE: My Samsung steam dryer (model DV448AEW/XAA) has

This is for the ELECTRIC MODEL Only. I have the DV448AEPl and had the same problem... I cleaned all of the lint from every nook and cranny and ordered a "repair kit" from Sears (http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Samsung-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-DV448AEPXAA/1482/0151200?searchedModel=dv448&blt=) there is even a blow up of the parts there - I ordered part numbers , DC47-00015A, thermostat, DC47-00018A - thermostat and DC47-00019A - dryer heater. The heater is relatively easy to get to if your not squeamish about removing some screws and taking the front off the dryer. Once the front is off you can clean even more lint from the dryer. Remove the heater unit by unscrewing the single screw accessed from the front of the dryer and then disconnecting all of the connectors.
Lastly - once I took the heater assembly out I found that a dime had made its way into the heater coil and was shorting it out... Probably could have got by by just removing the dime and cleaning the coil but I figured that since I was elbow deep in the thing I might as well clean it all up and install the new parts.... Cost of parts was about $80.00 w/shipping. Cost of a repairman to knock on my door here is $150 so I came out ahead on this one... Good luck.

SOURCE: Hi, My maytag bravos dryer is one year and 2

Sounds like the exhaust fan is not working. There's an electric blower at the back of the unit that forces air out through the exhaust vent. Unplug the unit, pull the vent off the back, and see if you can reach in and touch the fan blades and make them move. If it won't move something is probably caught in there. You may need to take off the back of the unit and remove the housing cover to the fan assembly in order to really tell what's going on, but it sounds like your fan has an obstruction. It could also be that the fan motor is fried but that seems less likely. Remember to have the unit unplugged, there's some dangerous voltage inside.

Testimonial: "Wow super fast response and easy to understand, thank you!"

Stackable dryer model # FFLG2022MW dryer turns on and spins but wont get any heat. the dryer vent has already been checked but wasnt clogged.

Heating element would be a possible cause. Also heat circuit runs thru fuses and thermostats, the timer or control, and motor. Make sure you have 220 volts getting to dryer.

I was drying rugs and one of the rugs got caught and the drum stopped turning. The power comes on but the dryer drum will not turn.

Hello, one possible cause of dryer drum not rotating is the rugs stuck between the drum and front panel.Secondly, maybe the dryer belt dispart.

If you need the whole housing we have it available for about $45. But usually you just need the bushings $35 part # AP4045830 . If you enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com diagrams will come up on the left hand side you will see the housing and the bushings that support the front of the drum. There are also videos of repairing similar bearing types. All parts come with installation instructionsand are ready to ship. It is an easy inexpensive fix.

My LG dryer shuts itself off during the normal cycle and a dotted

OK, here's what it sounds like to me: The line going around the display should only be seen if you selected "Wrinkel Care" function for that cycle (and with the freshen up cycle, I beleive). With that option in use, after the dryer shuts off, if you do not open the door or turn off power to the dryer the dryer will display the moving rectangular segments and every 6 minutes the dryer will turn itself on and tumble for 10 seconds with no heat (to keep clothes fluffed up and prevent wrinkles from setting in) and will continue this cycle for up to three hours. The "Freshen Up" is the steam cycle used to remove wrinkles from 1 to 5 garments, like things that were all wrinkled up in your suitcase. Try drying with a normal or permanent press cycle, or a timed cycle. If you have additional questions or concerns, let me know.

Stackable kenmore model 41794702300

We have had that happen too. You will need to take out what ever has blocked the valve on the drain. Ours was a bobby pin! My model is a bit different but if you follow the drain hose underneath you can find it. Remember you are dealing with lots of water. I think I scooped out the water first and have some towels ready. Or hire somebody to do it for you. I hope that helps.
