Now discontinued model, FASG7021, front loading stackable dryer. Ready steam function worked well when new, now one month out of warranty appears to be clogged; barely a drip comes out. Is this something I can clean myself? Steam nozzle appears accessible from inside drum. Thanks.

Brand new unit - same problem. After an hour of investigating, I found the issue.
You don't actually have to SLAM the door. If you look closely, there are 3 separate pins that must latch. One is a simple push-button style which latches no problem.
The others are little prongs at the top and bottom of door. The bottom prong latches cleanly, but the top one will not latch because the door is a bit too flexible.
Close the door normally, then firmly press on the top edge of the door. You will hear the final latch grab, then you press and hold the start button. The dryer starts normally.
Yay!

This is for the ELECTRIC MODEL Only. I have the DV448AEPl and had the same problem... I cleaned all of the lint from every nook and cranny and ordered a "repair kit" from Sears (http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Samsung-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-DV448AEPXAA/1482/0151200?searchedModel=dv448&blt=) there is even a blow up of the parts there - I ordered part numbers , DC47-00015A, thermostat, DC47-00018A - thermostat and DC47-00019A - dryer heater. The heater is relatively easy to get to if your not squeamish about removing some screws and taking the front off the dryer. Once the front is off you can clean even more lint from the dryer. Remove the heater unit by unscrewing the single screw accessed from the front of the dryer and then disconnecting all of the connectors.
Lastly - once I took the heater assembly out I found that a dime had made its way into the heater coil and was shorting it out... Probably could have got by by just removing the dime and cleaning the coil but I figured that since I was elbow deep in the thing I might as well clean it all up and install the new parts.... Cost of parts was about $80.00 w/shipping. Cost of a repairman to knock on my door here is $150 so I came out ahead on this one... Good luck.

Sounds like the exhaust fan is not working. There's an electric blower at the back of the unit that forces air out through the exhaust vent. Unplug the unit, pull the vent off the back, and see if you can reach in and touch the fan blades and make them move. If it won't move something is probably caught in there. You may need to take off the back of the unit and remove the housing cover to the fan assembly in order to really tell what's going on, but it sounds like your fan has an obstruction. It could also be that the fan motor is fried but that seems less likely. Remember to have the unit unplugged, there's some dangerous voltage inside.

It sounds like the fan isn't working properly (assuming all the ducting is clear).
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply and remember, even if you don't vote for me a please and thank you goes a long way.
