O button doesn't work properly

To type an "o" successfully i have to use an absurd amount of force, making those last few words there a pain to type.

i had this problem before but razer just replaced the keyboard, didn't offer any suggestions.

Re: o button doesn't work properly

Well i started having the problem with the letter 'B' so what i did was i took the key out and i placed a small square bit of tissue paper under the key now it works fine....... although this shouldnt happen with such an expensive keyboard. Im never buying a razer product again.

Trackball logitech

I use a Optical Trackman from Logitech and have foound that the contacts on the left click get dirty and won't work right or work partially. Especially frustrating when trying to highlight or shoot on FPS games. I took mine apart, just the housing , the electrics stay , and cleaned as well as I could , then blow it out with canned air. Got mine working again. My guess would be dirt or that button is worn out. Logitech has discontinued many of the Trackballs so a replacement may not be possible

If a neighbor will let you, disconnect their keyboard and try it on yours. If it works normal, the problem is the keyboard. They are fairly cheap to buy brand new.If it does not go away, something is wrong, most likely the IC which interprets the keyboard signal and converts it to letters. It sounds most likely to be the keyboard because it is a few characters consistently.Perhaps something was spilled in that section as they are quite close together.Good luck,Greg

Sometimes my wireless keyboard will type multiples of the same character when I've only hit the key once, and then other times it won't respond and will end up typing the first & last letters of a word...

Try plug it in to another USB port while the PC's switched on. It will force the computer to redect your mouse and keyboard and might fix the problem.

Another test would be on another PC or laptop. If it does the same thing then the keys are probably getting stuck down. Has it had anything spilt on it? Try a vacuum over the keys, you'll be suprised what gets caught under the keys (usally paperclips!!).

I lost the owners manual for how to set up the dell wireless keyboard and mouse. I believe that there is a certain order i must have them found by the computer and the buttons on the back of both items...

first press the sensor button and then press your keyboard button present at the back side then press any key on keyboard you will see the word that you have typed .then again press the sensor button and then press your mouse button that is at bottom of mouse then move it you will see that the mouse will move.

Can I change the keyboard to accept a lighter touch. I have tendonitis and can't press the keys down hard. I prefer the laptop keyboard but then the screen is too low.

Unfortunately this is not something that can be changed. The force required and the amount of travel for a key press to be registered are physical properties of the keyboard.

To make matter worse, most keyboards will have similar properties. By requiring a certain amount of force, it helps to eliminate typing errors and also gives keyboards a standard 'feel'. This is not something that happens by chance - it is actually engineered into the keyboard.

I can only suggest that you try a few different keyboards and see if you can find one that suits you better. Ironically, some of the cheaper keyboards do require a much lighter touch. This is presumably because the manufacturers haven't bothered to engineer in that standard feel.

I hope this helps,

MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000 won't scroll in Word 2007

1. Goto COntrol Panel > Mouse properties
2. Then goto wheel tab - exception
3. Then add the programs that arent working.
4. Click apply then ok.

If you don't have the exception area in the mouse properties. Then goto add/remove programs and remove the mouse manager that came with the mouse.
One of these solutions should fix your problem.

My wireless mouse has stopped working......noticed red light was blinking continually for the last couple of days. Have changed batteries with no success

Make sure that after you change the batteries that you re-sync the mouse with the receiver using the 'connect' buttons on each.
