Water drains out as fast as it fills........but not all of the time top load Whirlpool

There is a chance the drain hose has buildup within it and needs to be cleared out. This will take about an hour.

  • 1- Unplug the electrical cord on the washer from the wall outlet.
  • 2
  • Unfasten the hot and cold water hoses from the water lines after you shut off the water valves. Use a pair of slip-joint pliers to turn the hose fittings counterclockwise to remove them.

  • 3 Pull the washing machine far enough away from the wall so you can comfortably work on the rear of the machine.

  • 4 Locate the access panel toward the bottom left side of the back of the washer. Use a nut driver to remove the nuts that secure the access panel, and remove it.

  • 5 Find the water pump, which will have two hoses attached to it.

  • 6 Identify which hose is the drain hose by tracing it to the outside of the machine. The pump may also be labeled "Inlet" and "Outlet." The drain hose is attached to the outlet.

  • 7 Squeeze the clamp that secures the end of the drain hose to the water pump, using a pair of slip-joint pliers. Remove the end of the hose from the pump.

  • 8 Insert a plumbing snake into the end of the hose and twist the snake as you feed it through the hose. After approximately 10 feet of the snake is fed through the drain hose, you should see the snake and the clog come out the other end of the hose.

  • 9 Reattach the drain hose to the water pump and replace the access panel. Reconnect the water hoses and turn on the water valves. Push the washer back against the wall and plug in the electrical cord.

  • Hope this helps!

Hi, My son has pulled an emergency emptying hose on aeg 16830. It became very loose. Is there any way of fixing it? Thanks, Nat

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

As long as the hose still has its 'bung' in the end and it's not ripped or torn so that water does not come out, I cannot see the fact that it is 'very loose' affecting anything. You would have to pull it to gain access to the bung in an 'emergency and drain whatever water was left in it anyway ;-0)
Clever lad. Put him on FixYa to give advice on 'emergency emptying' !
    Cheers, John C

Machine does not empty new pump fitted

Check the drain outlet hose for a possible blockage, also check the filter located inside the large black hose fitted to bottom of drum.

New machine - cannot get it to start - when i go through sequence as manual, choose programme options etc, then press start, top light in sequence goes orange instead of green and programme does not start.

Have you remode the transit screw ./ bolt? Does the drum turn freely by hand - it should. Is the water supply turned on and connected to the machine? If not the machine will not work. Also make sure that the door is firmly closed. If these are OK then switch off the machine at the mains and wait for 30 mins then switch it back on and try again.

Whirlpool washer pours water on right side

The pumps on these washer wear out over time and leak.
While replacing the pump, you should replace the direct drive coupling also. That is part of the torn rubber gasket you are referring to.
This video will show you access to the parts.

LG washer with UE error issue

This is fairly easy to do, although you need to find some suitable foam - two pieces about 8" square and probably 3" - 4" thick.
You will also need a suitable adhesive, which could be spray carpet adhesive, copydex, or silicone sealant.

Turn off and unplug the machine, "walking" it out slowly if it's under a counter. Do not strain the water hoses too much.
Undo the few screws along the top at the back that holds the lid on, then slide the lid back an inch and lift off.

There should be some foam buffers in there already - but may have fallen off. Retrieve them if they have, but fit your bigger ones instead to leave maybe a finger width gap each side of the drum.

Make sure any springs on the top you can see are ok while you're there.

Once fitted, refit the lid and screw back, then push back the machine from very low down - check hoses are not squashed, and the outlet hose is ok.

    Turn on again.

Need to fit new pump on a hotpoint aquarius 1000 deluxe wm25

I assume you want to know how to fit pump.Remove the lower back panel, in the lower left hand corner you will see the pump, it has an inlet and outlet hose going to it.
Remove these two hoses and disconnect the 2-wire plug to the pump.
Tilt the m/c forward and remove the 2 screws securing the pump to the washer base
    Remove punp.
Fit new pump in reverse order, very straight forward job.
    Plz leave feedback.Thanks.
