Problem for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 Digital Camera
DMC-FZ1 won't communicate with Vista computer

I'm having trouble getting my grandfather's Panasonic DMC-FZ1 to communicate with his Vista laptop. The cable/camera aren't defective-- it worked properly with my Macbook. But he needs it on his computer.
Any suggestions? I'm a little unfamiliar with the operating system, but I can't get it to register.
