first try to format in command line Start go to RUN Type CMD and press enter key in command window type format H:/fs:FAT (H: stand for my Pen Drive name change it if you have different) press enter key yes to all message appear now you formatting start
if not so try this: 1000% work download any low level formatting system and format from that or you need 3rd party formating tools like HP format tool to format RAW to FAT,
if still not work it mean your PEN Drive got Damaged and you have to purchase a new one.
Theoretically, you can't format a more than 32 GB drive with FAT/FAT32 file system. In your case you have to choose the NTFS file system to format your 64 GB USB flash drive.
However, if you really need to format it with FAT32, you got to use the command line or a third party tool.
Hope this is going to help you.
Plug it into another usb socket and you should find it works, Sometimes usb sockets and drives can become corrup.. by right when you reboot you machine it will revert back to normal
do you still have warranty for the Pen drive, suggest you take it to the shop you bought it. you seem to have got a defective ped drive. also if you have the serial numbers, check online with Kingston to see if you have got a genuine kingston product.
Download the HP disc format tool using this link-- http://www.eocfiles.com/bdc86eb1ed2989c30dcd1902e84939ae/bootdisks/SP27608.exe
After downloading the file you need to install this. After installation, launch the software, and select the Flash Drive Letter and try formatting. If this does'nt work, plz let me know and I'll give you one more alternative.
