Using an old SKY digibox for Freeview ?

posted by andymcf on Nov 11, 2007

I have upgraded to SKY+ but now have a spare digibox. I have heard that that these can easily be used as a freeview box for another TV set.
I have tried connectinbg etc and all connects fine but of ciurse there is no satellite cable for that TV.
Is ther a way to use this box for Freeview channels ?
Many thanks

Yes, the decoder can be used as a FTA box. Quite simlpy replace a single LNB to your dish, and run another cable to the decoder.

you have a smartcard for that box ?, cause without that card, you won't see any of the channels at all.
