SOURCE: My Dremel tool motor still works but shaft won't turn?
Here's the email from I got from Dremel (in my case the flex coupling broke):
Inside the tool is a flex coupling and spline driver.
The flex coupling is # 2615294309 and the price is $ 1.25.
This is the hollow plastic sleeve about 1" long with grooves on the
inside, that goes between the motor shaft and the output shaft.
The spline driver is # 2615294308 at $ 1.00.
Spline driver sits on the direct end of the motor shaft. The flex
coupling sits over the spline driver. Spline driver is about 1/4",
hard plastic with grooves on the outside.
Total shipping for orders under $ 5.00 is $ 2.50. Orders over $
5.00 is $ 4.00.

SOURCE: I was working with the dremel and it shut down and
My dremel started doing that too. If I rubbed the sanding drum along a piece of wood, it would start up again. I think the brushes and the copper armature get glazed over with non conductive dust and possibly insulation smoke which disconnects it enough to stall out. Change the brushes to the new ones in the kit. After a year of heavy use mine slowwed down to about 300 rpm and then died. A very nice tool but I prefer the Makita which is about three times this size just because it is longer lived.
SOURCE: Tried to replace motor brush on dremel. One brush
I had to completely dismantle my dremel because both brushes were stuck. Had to basically break them apart because they were seized solid in there.

No they don't have them on the shelf in Walmart. If they did I wouldn't be here looking myself.
