Question about HP Pavilion ze5170 Notebook
My hp pavilion ze5170 powers up then make a few clicking sounds under the keyboard .and all power gos off except the lights at the touch pad stays on .it dose this both with ac power an battery power.
Clicking noises coming from a computer is generally a bad hard drive and must be replaced.
*However* the power going off may mean it is a fan that is bad and needs to be replaced.
Either way the laptop will require a replacement part, so take it to a computer repair shop and will be able to determine which it is fairly quickly.
