How to retrieve lost voice message on cell phone.

My phone automatically deleted phone messages-not text messages-but voice mail messages and I've been wondering if there is a way to get these back? I have the exact same problem and it is a very important message. I didn't have visual voicemail - I hope someone knows how to retrieve these. My e-mail is mr.m571@yahoo.com

I called my voicemail today for that and there was an option at the beginning of the call to my voicemail. You have to call your phone number hit # or * then type in your 4 digit code. You know like back in the day with the other phones.
