Hi, I have a Compaq PSU (PN: 230822-001) from a HP Proliant server. I am try to test the output of the unit but need to 'enable' it using the pins on the back... Do you have any information...

OUTSIDE of a redundant PSU - The power supply is very inexpensive and can most likely be bought from any of your computer retailers, Amazon - Just make sure to confirm the right model type of power supply. BEST to have it tested before replacing it. To make sure that is the issue.. Many computer shops will test for free.

Dell PowerEdge R710 Installation error I have the same problem while installing Windows Server 2003 installation process reach to the step asking press F8, when pressing F8 it says no Hard Drive were...

ok you will need to get the windows 2003 drivers for your raid controller and put them on a floppy disk. when you first boot off the cd you will see a prompt to press f6 if you need to install any additional drivers. insert the floppy disk and select which driver you wish to load.
you should be able to see the hard drives now to partition/format.

I have core dual processor of 3.40ghz1gb ram 150GB Hard disk. What should be smps power

Hi Thanks for your question.
Power consumption on system of your spec should not exceed 100W but to be on safe side I would get 120Watt PSU.
I hope this helps and good luck with putting PC together :-)

Are you talking about a boot disk for DOS/WIN or are you looking for a Compaq restore disk?

Boot disk can be found via Google, im sure you know that. If you want a restore - e-mail Compaq and wade through download/support files for your make and model.

Hard drive not found in bios.

Thanks for using FixYa!

There are three possibilities why your HDD(hard drive) is not showing up. 1. Its already a bad drive (failing HDD mainboard). 2. Loose HDD cable inside your laptop. 3. Bad laptop sata port. Hopefully its just #2 but most of the time its #1. Bring your computer to a technician. They will be able to easily isolate the problem. I hope this helps.
