I've run into this same issue. Although not a complete fix, I was able to program the tv with a basic universal remote. Try using the Goldstar remote codes. While I'm unable to use the channel buttons, I can change channels manually and turn the tv on/off and use the volume button. Again, not a fix, but a work around for now.
Is this the original remote or a universal remote? Can you change the channel with the buttons on the right side of the TV?
Can you type in a channel number and go to that channel? (this applies if the channel will not change with the buttons on the TV.) Try to
rescan the channels (it could be that the TV has the other channels
hidden (or lost the list).
1. Manually turn on the device (TV or Cable box) to be controlled. 2. Press and hold the P (Program) button until the red indicator stays on. Release the P button. 3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV or Cable). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit. 4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channels. If you accidentally overshoot the desired code, press the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channels. Pressing Channel Up changes the direction to forward again. 5. Press and release the Enter button to set the code. If the device does not have a Channel Up button, use Power instead. If you go all the way through the code library without finding the correct code the indicator blinks a few times then goes off.
go into the menu of tv find the option to auto program- let unit go thru process without interupting it.now chanels up&down should work-the problem was there were no chanels in its memory
in side the mother board(kit) there should be vertical IC gone. check the vertical section for the IC number and replace it , this will solve ur problem
