TV is on one channel and will not work with remote or allow me to change channells from side of tv

I've run into this same issue. Although not a complete fix, I was able to program the tv with a basic universal remote. Try using the Goldstar remote codes. While I'm unable to use the channel buttons, I can change channels manually and turn the tv on/off and use the volume button. Again, not a fix, but a work around for now.

I have a daytex tv and the remote is not working, and when I manually change the channels from the side of the tv I cannot get channel 3. Is there anything I could do to get it to change the channel 3, so...

There is no Daytek code for a universal remote, but I would try the codes for their parent company,
Daewoo. Those are: 011,019,027

Please let me know if this was helpful by rating my suggestion.

Have a great day!

Can not change the channels on my Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000. The remote will turn the TV on and off but will not change the channel.

Is this the original remote or a universal remote? Can you change the channel with the buttons on the right side of the TV?

Can you type in a channel number and go to that channel? (this applies if the channel will not change with the buttons on the TV.) Try to rescan the channels (it could be that the TV has the other channels hidden (or lost the list).

If it is a universal remote, you may not have the correct code (just a close one). Try additional codes for Sony TVs. Also when was the remote built? If it was programmed more than 6 months before the TV was released, then it will not have the correct codes. You would need a newer remote. A substitute remote can be obtained from https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/productSearch.do?sessionId=4q4-Cd8shqFs_c5rcVcD_Lw or http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=KDL-V32XBR1&uuid=12842263276080 .

I hope this helps.

Need code for dynex television, using a nexxtech 1519000A remote.

Programming with Code Search

1. Manually turn on the device (TV or
Cable box) to be controlled.
2. Press and hold the P (Program) button
until the red indicator stays on. Release
the P button.
3. Press and release the desired mode
button (TV or Cable). The red indicator
blinks, then stays lit.
4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly
(up to 300 times) until the device to be
controlled changes channels. If you
accidentally overshoot the desired code,
press the Channel Down button to
backtrack through the library until the
device changes channels. Pressing
Channel Up changes the direction to
forward again.
5. Press and release the Enter button to set
the code.
If the device does not have a Channel Up
button, use Power instead. If you go all the
way through the code library without
finding the correct code the indicator blinks
a few times then goes off.

Channel button on remote will not change the channel, nor will the buttons for up channel or down channel on the side of the tv work. You can change channels only by pushing the number buttons. My dad has...

go into the menu of tv find the option to auto program- let unit go thru process without interupting it.now chanels up&down should work-the problem was there were no chanels in its memory
