Power down your computer and press all of the function keys (F1, F2, etc) on your keyboard. Also, press delete and tab as well. I'm wondering if a key is sticking that is the key to get into the BIOS.

How do I reset it? [email protected]

Turn the computer off.
Turn the computer on.
When it shows "press <BLAH> to enter BIOS SETUP mode",
press the <BLAH> key.
Select 'Load BIOS defaults'.
Select 'Save & Exit'.
If that resets it, stop here.

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Open the side-panel on the desktop case, and look for the 'RESET CMOS' label,
close to three gold pins that are in a row. A jumper will be connected to pins #1 and #2.
Move the jumper to connect pins #2 and #3. Count to 30.
Move the jumper back to re-connect pins #1 and #2.
Connect the AC power.
Turn the computer on.
When it shows "press <BLAH> to enter BIOS SETUP mode",
press the <BLAH> key.
Select 'Load BIOS defaults'.
Select 'Save & Exit'.

Hello, I have updated BIOS of Intel 845 GVSR board. But after the successful update USB is not displayed in BIOS hence no USB device is getting recognized. Please help.

Had exactly the same problem. This process fixed it for me:

http://www.intel.com/cd/channel/reseller/asmo-na/eng/tech_reference/box_processors/int_inst_info/factory_notes_all/203939.htm

  1. Shut down the computer safely and remove the chassis cover.
  2. Move the BIOS Configuration jumper to the Maintenance position. (Refer to the Quick Reference Guide or Product Guide for the location of this jumper.)
  3. Power on the computer and enter BIOS Setup (press F2 during boot).
  4. Go to the Advanced > USB Configuration menu.
  5. Enable the USB Function.
  6. Go to the Exit menu and select Save Custom Defaults.
  7. Save and exit the BIOS setup.
  8. Turn off the computer.
  9. Move the BIOS Configuration jumper back to the normal mode position.
  10. Power on the computer and enter the BIOS Setup again to verify that the Advanced > USB Configuration menu is now back to normal.

Hey! Laptop goes into Bios...

Ok what you need to do with that issue is let the laptop go into bios mode and then look for the boot options and see what is checked there. You may have it checked to startup with windows bios and if that's the case then you need to change it in bios mode. If you have any other questions please let me know!

After powering on system automatically goes to BIOS after if i save & exit the BIOS it is showing msg, that is "Turn off the power & reinstall the jumpers in proper mode. Please help me.

There is a block of 3 pins that control your BIOS on the motherboard.

See page 53 of the manual. Here is a link if you do not have the manual.

Intel DG31PR manual

Make sure the jumper is on pins 1 and 2 when you boot the next time. It sounds like they are on pins 2 and 3 now.

NOTE: Remove all power before changing the pins. Turn computer off. Remove power cord. Press and hold power button for 5 seconds.
