How do you remove the Holden VE clutch fluid restrictor for faster gear changes ?

The Holden VE SSV ute range has a problem with not being able to drive the car hard through the gears in the manual due to an apparent lack of fluid getting back up to the master cylinder which is due to the clutch fluid restrictor that holden introduced to cut back on syncro damage .

Is that really Holden\'s fix for synchro? Go online to an owners forum and see what they say. Its a new one on me. Google Holden SSV synchro and see what pops up?

Code P0660 2002 Mazda Protege DX - Will that prevent car moving when in gear? And how many hours for garage to fix?

The vehicle not moving could be a separate issueto the P code. Have you been having issues with gear changes before this, Crunching or grinding noises? Have you noticed any leaks under the vehicle? The most common reasons for no movement is low transmission fluid, a worn out clutch or failed clutch.
The trouble code refers to an emissions and performance part called the "Secondary Shutter Valve" (SSV). This code will not stop the vehicle moving but it could affect how the car behaves. The vehicle could 'stutter' or 'Buck' as you use the accelerator pedal.
Repairing time for this will depend on what and where the issue is with the SSV system.

2005 holden rodeo RA DX 2.4L ute recent power loss when driving, over revs when changing gears would i need a new clutch installed or cable tightened?

is this a stick shifted car?
the clutch slip is easy to detect, (m/t) the rpm rises, and speed not. (ive burned up many a clutch racing, so know them, and fixed them all self)
yes, adjust the clutch free play , if cable system it gets way off
as you drive, tighter and can cause slip as free play passes ZERO.

I have a Series 2 commodore SSV Ute, I'm not sure about the other gears but in first gear when I reach 5500 RPM the engine cuts out. That's the only way to describe it. It's like turning the motor off

most likely an rpm limiter sensor that prevents you from blowing the motor
moving from 1st to 2nd or any gear should be done at no more than 4000 rpms as the engine is outside the torque range and is just a waste of fuel

Holden comm ute 96 automatic put into reverse but doesnt move just revs

I suspect that changing the tranny oil will not solve your problem. At best when the pan is removed to change the oil filter you will probably find clutch parts in the sump. However having said that take it to a tranny shop and have the pressures tested before doing anything else

This truck plows a .3 mile long driveway with a big hill. the clutch is fairly new but got very hot and smelled bad during the last snow storm. I wads told to check the transmission fluid and fluid in the...

The resivior for the clutch is under the hood on the driver's side outside the Brake master cylinder. You should be able to look through the plastic housing to read the fluid level [ between the lines ]. If it needs fluid, it takes DOT 3 brake fluid, be careful to wipe any dirt or gunk off the cover before removing it. The fluid has to be checked from under the truck by removeing the plug on the side of the transmission, the level should be just under the opening. The type of fluid depends on the transmission that's in the truck [ an autoparts store should be able to help you with that ].
These fluid levels should not affect the clutch as far as slipping, oil or grease leaking onto the clutch will or a weak pressure plate will cause it. Plowing in to high of a gear also will put tremendous strain on the clutch, I would recommend plowing in the lowest gear practical, if 4wd. put the transfer case into 4wd lo range- you can always use the transmission gears to go faster.

No pressure clutch pedal goes straight to the floor 1988 holden r

If hydraulic actuated mechanism, loss of fluid, defective master cylinder or slave cylinder at the clutch. Missing pin or other part between slave cylinder and clutch arm. Loose or broken slave cylinder mounting. Missing pin or broken part between pedal and master cylinder. If mechanical linkage, look for broken components or missing pins at moving joints. If you tried to shift into gear with engine running, you may have damaged the transmission gears.
