It has a bad smell and is smelling my whole house. smells like dead rodents. put my finger in pan has gooie stuff and that is the smell, but cant remove drain pan to clean it.
I appreciate your inquiry, friend!
If you would like to clean any dirt or debris from the drain pain you can use a vacuum attachment to get inside and clean any residue within the drain pan. You can also use warm water and bleach to help disinfect the drain pan prior to vacuuming it out. If that does not help you may want to consult with a professional technician for additional cleaning to be completed within your Frigidaire refrigerator. Best of luck! -Matt

If u have 2 people u can lean the fridge back and the drain pan unscrews from the fridge from the bottom even though it says "non-removable
SOURCE: About 5 days ago I noticed a strong chemical smell
No. The coolant cannot leak as a liquid and soak into the floor. Also, the smell of the coolant (refrigerant) does not have the acetone/ketone/laquer thinner smell that you are describing, and if someway the smell originated from the frig, the smell would without a doubt be inside the frig as well. You need to look frosome container stored in a cabinet or stored on conrete floor that has rusted or opened some way and the thinner/cleaner/solvent has leaked from such a containerwithout notice. Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that you are receiving a smell from the engine area of your Frigidaire refrigerator. I would recommend cleaning your drain pan area, you can do that by using water and bleach in a spray bottle then spraying it into the drain pan. Also, get a vacuum attachment to help suck out any debris located in the drain pan. You can also seek consultation with a professional technician for additional assistance if needed. I hope this helps. -Matt
