Check the power setting in the menu. If it's set to low power, switch to standard.

Takes awhile for tv to come on!

Hello Ruben,
This type of failure is common on these TVs. The power supply might need to be replaced due to bulging capacitors. If you are able to replaced the capacitors, it is a cheaper alternative.

I have a Samsung HLN467WX DLP 46" TV. It had the Light Engine assy replaced in March 05 through warranty, but now it has stopped working. When you turn it on, the picture is fine for about 2-3 minutes...

I suggest going to the following link. they will have the service manual for your model available by email after purchase and they offer free tech support to help you with the diagnosis and repair of your DLP heres the link in case you want it.

TV picture goes out

The tv is shutting down because of a power problem. It could be the power transformer or a color gun overheating. Expect at least a couple of hundred dollars to fix it. Some shops will do house calls for around $65 and can diagnose the problem and give you an estimate. Usually they can just remove the board, take it to the shop and repair it, then reinstall it.

Picture and sound go away after 2 minutes

Protection circuit fault kicks in. No vertical Deflection (V STOP),B+ over voltage protection (OVP), This is about a $150 -$200 to fix.

I get 5 blinks on the panel and picture goes out....

If you read the manual the 5 blinks indicates that the bulb needs to be replaced.
