Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Computer does not recognise the driver for the camera.

The camera was previously installed on my pc. However when I returned from holiday to download the photos, my pc would not recognise the device. A message appears that there are no drivers for the camera. I have tried installing the camera again but an error occurs each time I try. I have successfully transferred the photos to another pc so I know that there is no fault with the camera.

Seem like you PC don't recognised your camera. Have you install the camera driver ? the driver CD usually come with the camera package. If you already install the driver but you get this problem, re-install proper driver until complete/success to make your PC recognize your camera.

Hope this help and if this helpful RATE please.

I have some pictures in a Nikon coolpix 7600 digital camera and want to download or empty out the camera. Need an empty camera for my holiday tomorrow. How can I do that

Quickest and simplest way is to get a new memory card. If you are off on holiday tomorrow you won't have time to mess with drivers and cables to download to computer. Take out the old memory card and deal with it on your return. A new, empty one can be obtained at any camera shop, even while you are on holiday.

Go to manufacture's website. Find the download or support tab. Then look for the very latest drivers for your camera. Then download onto pc, double-click to extract and install the driver, then restart pc, Then turn on camera first, then start any programs you are using, then finally connect with usb/i-link/HD cable.

When pc doesn't recognize a device, it is due to the driver.

Cannot download photos

What is ptp utility new to me. I suggest the first thing to do is if you have the software from the disk loaded - you un install it. Restart the computer - plug camera in and set it to upload mode. Windows scanner/Camera Wizard will take you along from there. If it does not change the USB port. Come back with the next move
