I was working on my laptop last night. When battery went down to 10%, i plugged in the AC power to charge batteries. But as soon as i plugged in, the screen went blank. So i thought that it went into hibernating mode. I tried to turn the laptop back on again. but it didn't turn. And also when the computer is plugged with adapter, it doesn't show the orange light that it's charging.
I removed the battery and tried turning it on but i didn't work
I don't know what's the problem.
Can somone help me? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you.

Here below are possible causes and troubleshooting steps of laptop that can't power on, hope it may help: Possible causes:
1. AC adapter failure. 2. Power jack failure. 3. Motherboard failure.
Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solutions: 1. Test the AC adapter with a digital multimeter. It's possible that you have a failed AC adapter. If you don't have a multimeter, test your laptop with another known good AC adapter.
2.It's possible that power jack (socket where you plug the AC adapter) is broken. Remove the motherboard and take a closer look at the power jack. In some cases you can fix the jack by resoldering it on the motherboard. In other cases you have to replace the jack with a new one. Using a multimeter, test if the power goes to the motherboard through the jack.
3. If replacing the AC power adapter and jack on the motherboard doesn't help, most likely you have a bad motherboard. Replace the motherboard.
Hello, Did you plug your AC adapter in and then try to turn it on? It may be that your battery ran out of power. Try to plug your AC adapter into your laptop, wait about 2 minutes for the battery to charge, then turn on your laptop. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace your battery. The battery on that laptop is fairly cheap, ranging in price from $10 used to $60 new. If that doesn't work, your power button may need to be fixed. You then need to have it fixed by a reputable computer repair store.
Try the ff. steps in sequence:
- remove the battery
- unplug ac adapter / charger from laptop
- hold down power button for 10 secs
- plug ac adapter to laptop (leave the battery out for now)
- turn it on w/o battery
- when it turns on, you can place the battery in
- check if the battery charges as well..
you might have shot out your battery because if electrical curent is goging in to the computer (te orange light is going on) but the computer wont turn on it might be a problem with your battey
Change your AC charger. It's NOT charging "When the laptop is plugged into the AC, the power meter in windows
tells me that the power source is still batteries, and the battery
level drops by about 1% every few hours" That's the reason why: "battery has completely died" If you do not change it you'll continue to "still it gives me the same low battery indication and will not turn on.
"
Hi, Remove the adapter and the battery from the laptop.
Press the power button and hold it down for 20 seconds(without the
battery or adapter plugged in to it). This process is called POWER
DRAIN.
Now connect only the adapter and try to turn it on.
If it starts up, there is no problem with the adapter or the laptop.
If it doesn't, it can be either the adapter or the laptop.
You will have to check it with a different adapter to confirm which one is faulty.
The second case is that the computer powers on only with the adapter.
Then you can put the battery back in and try powering it up.
If it doesn't work, try connecting the adapter too.
If still it doesn't work, its a faulty battery.
Sometimes after doing a power drain, the computer will work fine.

The Charger could be bad, Try replacing that, or let charge, then try to turn on. The laptop might not boot with AC power. kinda stupid but maybe. If that doesn't work, the AC adapter is bad.
It sounds like one of the most frequent failure for a laptop, the plug on the back of your laptop is probably broken. Check if it's loose, try to move the plug until you get the orange light. If it's the case, someone need to resolder/replace the plug on the motherboard.
