How can you hook up a dvd blue player to play disc i can play regular disk but not blueray

?? Blu-ray needs a Blu-ray player. If you have a regular DVD connected now, you will need a Blu-ray player connected the same way, through Component cables or with HDMI if this model has that.

My DVD player won't play i'm getting a code HO2 on the display screen. ModeL # DVD-RV31

this is what i got from Josh Smith Online, this work-around requires opening the appliance, so before you start and follow this, please check on the warranty status of the unit.

error HO2 which more or less means the unit is shot. The problem centers round a spindle issue that is a known design flaw. Basically what happens is that the spindle gets warm, expands, and is then pushing on the top of the player .

You can see the tray which rotates with the DVD in. To fix this HO2 error I first had to start the spin by pushing the dvd counterclockwise gently. After that the DVD player would work but only without the cover on. This is the solution for now, though I plan to modify the case some in order to use the cover again. For now the DVD player slides into our entertainment stand and hides the fact that the cover is missing.

The DVD player in my 24" Toshiba Combo DVD/VCR TV is working intermittedly. It plays fine for a about 30 minutes ... then it stalls for a few seconds, starts again, stalls, starts again, stalls until...

This can be either a dirty lens or the optics starting to fail. On very rare occasions it is the digital processing section. Try opening up the unit and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. If that failes to correct the problem, try playing a music CD. If the CD plays OK, I'd suspect that the optics are starting to fail. Reading a CD takes a lot less laser power than a CD.
Keep us posted.

DVD inserted tries to read disc eventually message says no disc

First purchase disk cleaner disk from nearest computer shop then put it in dvd then play it so it clean dust from dvd lense.
If still it not read disk then you have to change dvd lense.
If your dvd is in warrenty take it to service centre and they replaced lense and repair it.

Let me know if you need more assistanse.

HDMI Interface doesn't work with Samsung blu-ray player. Start-up banner displays on power up for 10 seconds then reverts to "no signal".

First check inside the 2 ends of the HDMI cable to see if there are any bent or missaligned metal contacts. If so then replace the cable with new. If it's good, check inside the connections of the TV and DVD. If good, It sounds like an HDCP problem which is the content protection of the disk. Contact the manufacturer which will have a list of compatible tested DVD players. Also they will have the latest FW for you TV which if possible can be done at home with your computer. Or you could return the DVD player if is not compatible for one that is of the brand recommended. I have seen this a few times.
