I used ID3-TagIT to change the album name of my songs to the name of the folder on my Sansa c250 that I want to put the songs in. Open your Sansa in My Computer, double click on Internal Memory and open the music folder. Add a new folder and name it whatever you put in for the album name of your songs. Highlight all your songs and drag and drop them into your folder. Don't use media player to sync or they end up all mixed up in different folders.

Unfortunately no.

The device only recognizes the TAGS on the songs.

You can create PLAYLISTS with Windows Media Player or Rhapsody and put the songs in any order you like.

Best of Luck.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How do I get a generic mp3 player to play songs in shuffle mode if it does not have "shuffle" option on the menu ?

I think what you do is arrange the stuff the way you want, then high light all the names and click rename - then you put #1 in first song and hit enter. Friend told me that computer will then rename the others in numerical succession and play them back accordingly.

WOn't let me go above song number 255

That is apparently the limitation of the device. You should make folders for each artist anyway and sort the songs accordingly.

Wont play Artist/Album

if the music was not odtained from a legal source then sometimes it will not sort itself out on the mp3 player, because the info on it is imcomplete, it will only show up on SHOW ALL SONGS, SONGS, or whichever the folder is that shows all the songs on the device.

good day

Music from burnt cds...won't go to assigned folder

thats the way the software works. I'd suggest using an option like within winamp - where it looks for media tags and fills in all the appropriate information as to artist and genre for you. Winamp will do this with songs that have absolutely no information in them whatsoever (like burns) but it cant with homemade files like your buddy's garage band. The only way to seperate it besides folders is within playlists.

For your music, go in MTPMEDIA\Music folder then, create an another one and drag all your files in. Go in the new folder arranger your files alphabetically and drag them back to the music folder. Delete the new folder you created before and the next time you will look at your songs from your player, they will be in alphabetical order.

Deleting songs

Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
