Randomly I went to turn on my ipod and now it will not work anymore. It just restarts over and over until I turn it off. HELP!!
Plug the ipod in the computer..
Turn on the ipod and when it reboots hold the select and play button till it enters disk mode.
Use itunes to reformat
did the ipod say disk mode? Disk mode is like safe mode but for ipods. What windows are your running. You may also have a driver conflict.
check your device manager:
Right click on my computer, goto manage
then you want to click on the device manager. make sure there are no "!" and if they are please list them.
now try another form of rebooting:
Turn on your hold switch and the turn it back off then do the select and menu button to reboot.
Are you dual booting with a linux or is it straight out ipod?
Did Disk Mode work?
With me operating my own business, I would recommend doing both, Now I
personally would take apart the laptop and blow the air out because
blowing air thru the fan will not just clear the fan but will blow the dust back into the computer.
Try both and let me know how it goes

To set a minimum font size for messages:
Choose "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" > Minimum Font Size, then choose Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, or Giant.
Also, you may need to try the following:
Restarting and Resetting iPod touch
If something isn't working right, restarting, force quitting an application, or resetting iPod touch will likely solve the problem.
Restart iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPod touch. To turn iPod touch back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
If you can't turn off iPod touch or if the problem continues, you may need to reset. A
reset should be done only if turning iPod touch off and on doesn't resolve the problem.
Force quit an application: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch
for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then press and hold the Home button
until the application quits.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the
same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried this with the device unplugged?
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously
until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to
repeat this step.
