I have found the solution at last :)
Put the TV in standby and press these buttons in order
Info, Menu, Mute and Power on.
You will then see a hidden menu, on line 12 select reset
Bingo :)

in such cases may restart disconnect and reconnect and if the problem reinside check the local antenna signal may be failing

I was wondering if you were able to fix this on your own. I am have the exact same issue with a 42LG30

These are the steps to reset the DTV features and unfreeze your TV:

1. Ensure the tv is in analogue mode, not dtv and turn it off.
2. With the remote: press info, then menu, then mute, then power. These buttons need to be pressed sequentially, not all at the same time, and in quick succession. A menu will appear on the tv.
3. Navigate to the reset option and press the left arrow key on the remote (or press the enter/ok button). The tv will reset itself and turn off.
4. Turn the tv back on & it'll re tune all its channels. DTV should be working again.

the signal can be stronger with an signal booster on the splitter...as far as the tv won...its not digital ready you can use this as dvd / wii games only or even monitor for the computer (if the right adapters are purchase)
