Kindly do not keep attempting to turn it on, as you are likely to spoil some other boards/parts/components of the TV. Look for any loose contacts in power out let, RC jack, cable and socket. In order to ensure, it is not caused by the input device, connect a DVD player
and see. Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.
If problem persists, I suggest it is better to refer it to a qualified service technician, since the back cover has to be opened for investigation/rectification.

Sounds like your soft switch, in the set, has failed you will need to have this replaced.

Those boxes are so cheap that they do not have memory retention; can you power the box separately from the TV and not turn it off?

this tv is defective the video circuit has a short in it I would if possible return for an exchange if it is out of warranty then a new vga board will be needed.
