Re: Disc door won't open

If you bought on a wery low price, go to the service (check if you have any waranty for it).
If it was just a little bit cheaper and you can get the money back, do that.

If you have to solve the problem, try to open manualy, after you tak a part. If you not an expert and try to get money back, sell on ebay for parts.Do as fast as posibble, while the price high!

Do not put somewhere, wen you have a time, you lose the money and free space plus feeling bad whan you see it.
(I know what I'm talking about)

What is the model number of your DVD player? You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

This issue may occur if the disc is damaged or if the disc was not inserted properly into the Blu-ray Disc® player. Follow the steps below to open the disc tray and eject the disc.
  1. Turn off the Blu-ray Disc player.
  2. Disconnect the power cord (mains lead) or AC adapter.
  3. Allow the disc player to remain without power for 30 seconds.
  4. While pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button located on the front of the disc player, reconnect the power cord.
IMPORTANT: For some Blu-ray Disc Home Theater models it is necessary to press and hold the OPEN/CLOSE andPLAY buttons simultaneously, then reconnect the power cord.
NOTE: This step may require the assistance of a second person.
  5. After reconnecting the power cord, when the tray opens, release the OPEN/CLOSE button.
  6. Remove the disc.
  7. If necessary, disconnect and then reconnect the power cord to recover the player.

Go Video DV 2150 - DVD door won't open at all. You can hear a mechanism working behind the closed door, but nothing happens and the door remains shut. Any advice??

There is a small belt under the loading tray which would have gone slack ( loose ) and the sound you hear is it slipping on the motor pulley. If you are confident you can remove the mechanism and turn it upside down and access this belt. Dismantle only if you can get the spare belt or your efforts will be in vain.

Disc door won't open. DVD in will still play. How can we make the door open

try to re start the power first to reset the supply in which the door unable to open and then push the open/close button to open the door. if still won't open maybe their is an stuck up at mechanical part, so turn off the player then use a Phillip screw driver to loosen the screws and to remove the cover of the DVD player .you can now access the disc mechanical assembly of your DVD player, remove the CD first and then check if the plastic gear is mis aligned or the the drive belt is broken.much better if you can apply silicon grease in plastic gear for smooth operation.then make sure the open/close button is ok, good luck and good day.

I have a pannasonic DMR-EZ47V VHS/DVD player It has a DVD in the the player when you try to open to remove the disc it says no disc and will not open. Have tryed reset unpugged power from the unit still...

Did you try this? When the unit is on, hold down the power button for 10 seconds or more until the unit powers off. Then, turn the unit back on again. You can try to press the eject key before the unit has time to try to "read."

LG V8824w DVD/CD - Disc Error

I bought a lg lst3510A at a yard sale for 20 bux. Lady said that it was new and had never been used. Plugged it in and got disc error when trying to play a dvd. I removed the cover and gently slid the lens pickup to the far back I DO MEAN GENTLY.... IT SEEMS LIKE IT HAD LOST ITS HOME POSITION. This worked for me. IF YOU TRY THIS MAKE SURE THAT YOU UNPLUG THE DVD PLAYER FIRST. Good luck and I hope this works for you.

DVD RW stucked - stall the whole system.

Hi, I found this site today cos I had a similar problem. To cut a long story short I found a slot on the bottom of the machine, below the disc tray, that has a white lever in it. After removing the power source I moved the lever to the side and the tray opened manually so I could remove the disc. It seems It was a duff DVDR as other discs now work fine. Good luck !
