We have a hoptpoint ultima super silent fdw80 dishwasher, displaying the code AL01, we have already tried the the 2 solutions listed & the fault still shows, any ideas?

Hi,
You have a leak around the pump area and need to locate and repair this to use this unit. This fault code is to protect you home. This mean your unit is leaking during use and water is collecting in the base pan. You may need to run the unit were you can see the leak to repair. If possible you may also check you drain hose, it that leak it can also drain back into the base pan.
Good Luck

Refrigerator and freezer not cooling cleaned everthing underneath and around compresser fans all running .

Hello Earnedit03,

I understand that you are having a problem with you refrigerator not cooling at all. However, all of the mechanics are working properly. This issue will be a freon leak, this is not a DIY project as you must recover any freon (refrigerant), pull the unit down, find the leak and patch, and recharge the unit.

Is the unit worth repairing? You should call around and see what the cost of repair wil cost in your area. If the cost is above half the cost of a new unit, you are better off replacing than repairing.

Ultimately the choice is your as to what to do at this point.

Thank you for choosing FIxYa.com

Unit leak at high pressure port. repair man replaced valve charged unit.cooled for a short time then stopped cooling.another repair man found low coolant, thought evoperator leak to be the cause. injected...

Sorry about your problems.
The StopLeak is expensive and does not work on leaks larger than 8 ounces per year.
Neither of these "technicians" confirmed the location of the leak and repaired it.
When the vacuum was done on the system a leak would have been obvious after the first tech replaced a valve.
If they did not see a rise in pressure, they are incompetent.
I apologize for not having an answer for you, but, without being there and checking your system,I do not know what your specific problem is.

I have a Ruud Achieve model UPKB 060 CAZ that has a line that keeps freezing up when the thermostat is set to go below 76 degrees. The freon was checked and some was added. Also, the air handler is in...

Normally when the suction line freezes which is the larger of the 2 lines, #1, its low on freon again and unit has a leak. They are sealed systems and they should never need freon only if they develop a leak. So, this we know. Also, if the air filter is dirty and plugged, and the evaporator coil at the air handler is dirty will cause icing of lines and coil. Not enough air flow across the coil due to a dirty filter. When you set your thermostat to go below 76 degrees, the unit will work harder to keep up to bring the temperature down and if you have a leak which you do, the suction line will ice up. A Ruud 060 is a 5 ton btu unit, good size. Who ever added freon should have done a leak check on it. I would recommend you calling them out as it is low again and do a complete leak check, add dye to the system or there are many ways to do this. If the leak is not found it will continue to ice up. By E.P.A. standards, they cant keep adding freon, they must find the leak. This is all about you can do, is check and make sure you have a return air filter and its clean, and if it continues to ice, have them find the leak, repair it, and re-charge it. I wish you the best.
Sincerely,

WATER IS LEAKING FROM THE BOTTOM. IT'S COMING FROM FROM THE PUMP.

This is repaired by pulling the unit out and working from the rear and underneath, check for the leak, either replace the pump or gasket or hose, depending on where the leak is coming from. You may need some star screwdriver type tool.

My unit is 9 years old Ruud RCGA-60AIGH24B seems

It's possible that there is gas leak causing part of the coil to freeze. The cost will depend where the leak is.

Washer is leaking from underneath......

In my experience, the pump will be at fault. The shaft seals die and when that occurs, it leaks.

About any handy person can remove and replace these although expect some skinned knuckles.

Rarely, the housing of the pump (cheap plastic) will crack or the mixing solenoid will crack and leak.

The mixing solenoid is located (and part of) the fittings to which you connect your water supply.

Check to see if you have a Johnstone Supply in your area. Although they are a wholesale source for repair folks, I have never been turned away and the prices are 1/3 - 1/2 of what one will pay at an \'authorized dealer.\'

Where can I find stuff about my A.C.?

First, complain to the owner of the service outfit you hired to repair the system.
Second, give them a chance to make it right.
Third, if they refuse, ask who their competition is and contact them for service.
Lastly, contact the Better Business Bureau in your area.
