Resolving Jams at C
Perform the following steps to resolve Jams at C.

  1. Slide the 2000 Sheet Feeder (Tray 6, if installed) away from the printer (See Fig. 1).

  3. Open Door C (See Fig. 2).

  5. Check for and remove any jammed paper. Make sure that all paper fragments have been removed.
  6. Close Door C by making sure the door has latched securely at the front and rear of the printer.

  1. Slide the 2000 Sheet Feeder (Tray 6, if installed) firmly against the printer.
  2. Verify the paper is loaded correctly in the tray being used. Reference Loading Paper Trays 1-6 for additional information.
  3. Try turning the stack of paper over in the paper tray being used. Make sure the paper meets the printers specifications. Reference All About Media for additional information.
  4. If the jamming continues from Tray(s) 4 through 6, refer to Cleaning or Replacing the Pick Rollers for additional troubleshooting.

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. hello, sorry to say that your machine will need the entire front door assembly, whats happening, is that the guide for paper feed, well it now has problem, so far the only way to fix it, is to replace this part, i have tried alot of temp. fixes, but only last a few days, and then it comes back, sometimes worse.

Error message= open door clear carriage jam and

I think the message is instructions, as in
(1) open door (2) clear carriage jam (3) press enter
So there is something internal to the printer that makes it think it has a carriage jam, piece of paper under a sensor, dirty or stuck sensor.
If you can't find it using a bright light, try canned air.

Cleared paper jam but still have message

Mine does the same thing.Try opening all the doors on it and then closing it. For some reason the printer wants to know you have checked all the doors. Also take out the toner drum and check there. If that doesn't work try unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Good luck....hope it helps.

most likely the sensor on the paper path out of position, chech it out and put it back to where it have to be, good luck!

Carriage Jam

Make sure you can move the print cartridge holder freely and that it isn't being blocked by anything inside the printer, also check if the cleaning station is in the right position, maybe it is locking the cartridges.
