First be sure to check oil level if you haven't. Many have a low level shut off switch. If the level of oil gets below a certain point it can shut off. Just a thought.
Semi-synthetic 0w40 oil for the 500,600,700 sportsman quads, check what clutch your ATV has, "cvt" (continuosly variable transmission) clutches, or 'wet clutch'. 10w-40 or the 0w-40 that has the additves for "wet clutch" aplications
I have a 2004 700 carb that shut off while riding and then would start up 3-5 minutes later after many nights working on it Ifinally figured it out no help from any dealer. There are 2 circuit breakers under the front rack mine were very rusted, Replaced both never had the problem again. My situation was always only when the lights were on.
