According to the manual (you can
see it here) page 122 that describes 3 red flashing lights:
"The lamp cover is not attached securely. When you secure the lamp cover, the POWER / STANDBY light flashes in red and the LCD projection TV enters the standby mode (see page22)"
Page 22 says:
"... if the POWER / STANDBY light flashes continuously, this may indicate the display unit needs servicing..."
Most DLP displays make use of a "color wheel". These small motors spin at many thousands of RPM. They often begin to make scratching sounds when they are beginning to fail. Some manufacturers make it difficult to change yourself - and others make it pretty easy.
