screwed 75 2 1/2 inch deck screws worked great, came back the next morning and zip doesn't work.... called the service number he said I over worked the drill and burnt the trigger up. sounds like bs to me but he said they would send a new trigger out for $15.00. does it pay to fix a problem of theirs????

Batteries all powered up, pull the trigger and ...nothing. Trigger was hard to pull, when unstuck, drill wouldn't operate from that point forward. Any quick fix??
I have the same problem of no trigger movement after I picked up my 691220 Kawasaki 21.6V drill from my son's house. I am an industrial engineer and problem solver. I decided because I was attached to this drill that I would disassemble the drill and fix the stuck trigger/switch. After figuring how to disassemble the drill housing I found that the trigger/switch had shorted and melted the switch housing putting the trigger in a bind. The only fix will be to replace the switch assembly. I will call the Service number 1-800-590-3723 and determine if they will send me the switch/trigger assembly 13MAR2009. Reading the other posts I am surprised there has not been a recall on the drill and not just some of the chargers.
