Does the motorola t4500 have an eliminator

Setting a Channel

Your radio has 22 channels. Channels 1-7 and 15-22 are 1 watt. Channels 8-14 are

0.5 watt. When the radio is on a 1 watt channel, displays. When the radio is on

a 0.5 watt channel, displays.

1. With the radio on, press . The current channel flashes.

2. Press or to set the channel.

3. Press to save the channel setting. You have a pretty straight forward Low wattage FM Walki/Talki

I would have them returned or replaced.

If you can not transmitt on one to the other

How do I get to radio tune

Turn XM Roady2 'on' using the POWER switch. Go to MENU and go the FM Frequency. Select your frequency of an empty channel in your area, then turn off the Roady2 using the POWER switch. Do NOT do this by turning the car on and off as it tends not to save any settings when you do that. Always use the POWER button. Also, the website 'Radio-Locator' has a utility that will help you find an EMPTY FM channel in your are for your XM radio to use! Good luck and let me know how it works out for you- okay?

Operator/instruction manual

ghilger, First off, has your radio been converted to open up all the other channels(including CB)?? That has to be done first, or it's locked in the ham freq's. I think the factory manual is pretty well detailed, but i've been around radios my whole life. The mode button does the changing from am/fm/usb/lsb.Here's from the manual;

MODE: Operating Mode. Press the MODE control to select the operating mode. The operating mode is indicated on the liquid crystal display: am, fm, usb, or lsb.
* See, there is 2 different functions for each button. One set of functions are by just pushing the buttons, the other set of functions are obtained by pushing the function button first. The function button is activated by pushing in on the clarifier knob.
*Here is for saving of freq's;

Memory Save. To save in memory a specific
frequency and operating mode, select the desired mode and rotate the FREQUENCY control to the desired frequency. Press the FUNC button, and then press the M.SAVE button. S will appear on the LCD next to the frequency. While S is displayed, immediately press any of the memory channel buttons (1 - 5). The mode and frequency is now saved into memory. If the S indicator disappears before you press the memory channel button,
the information will not be saved and the process
must be repeated.

M.LOAD: Memory(Recall). To recall, any of the saved memory channels press the M.LOAD
button. L will appear on the LCD for several seconds. While the letter is displayed press the desired memory channel button (1 - 5). The programmed mode and frequency will be displayed.,
If you have any more questions about the radio, repost them here and I'll try to walk you thru them. The radio is a very good ssb rig, especially set up with a power mic. Hope this helps,, Mechanic

I have a problem

Hi,

Normally in a Motorola T5700, to set a specific channel to monitor (and reply to) called your working channel, you press the Menu (center) button and the current channel shown in the display will flash. Press either the + or - buttons to change to your desired channel number which should be identical to both radios. Press the PTT button to save.

Likewise, both radios must have identical Interference Eliminator Code. To set code, press Menu till the code display blinks. Press + or - to select code. Press the PTT to save. To disable the code, select 0.

Hope that this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

My dash didn't save radio channels? what i have to do?

If you leave the radio off for too long, or if the car battery dies, it will not have the power to store the radio channels and you will have to save them again. If neither of these has happened then it may be down to a small battery inside the radio that is used to keep the radio channels saved on the chipset of the radio that is not holding a charge. Or it may be a small faulty memory module on the radio that will not allow you to save the radio channels - in which case, check your warranty on the item and return it if it is under warranty.
