SOURCE: SD card slot problem

Yes, these HC cards require a different reader, than traditional SD cards. The builtin one on the laptop probably doesn't support them, since any SD card above 2gb is technically considered an HC SD card. so my advice is to go to a cheap computer parts supplier, and see if they have a reader that will work for HC SD Cards.

DAMN THE MAKERS OF FLASH MEMORY FOR BEING SO COMPLEX!!!!

Try to put your sd card to the slot, and check device manager.
check if there is yellow question mark on the device manager.
if it is, it's driver problem, just update the driver.
if not, try with another sd card and if this still not working, it's your sd card slot has problem.

When I plug in my compactflash memory card into the slot thing on my tower nothing happens. how do I get it to work?

You probably have multiple slots. and some memory cards will fit into other slots. usually the card type is listed under each slot. make sure you have it in the right one first. also there is usually a light that will change colors when it detects a card inserted. then windows should take care of the rest.

I have a 5 in 1 card reader but nothing is happening when i put my memory stick in???

Check "My Computer" and see if the icons for the memory card slots are listed or shown as an icon each as a drive (should have 5 all together). If they're not, then check the Device Manager to see if they're listed there and the drivers are installed. If not, you'll need to re-install the drivers. Also, make sure you're putting the correct type of card into the slots - in some cases the SD slots cannot accept the SD-HD types even though they're the same size.

Cannot eject meory card

Perhaps the memory card has got stuck. you should use memory card readers always to use memory cards. Anyways try to use any plucker to try and take the Memory card. if that does not work call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printer for yoy free of cost . But you will not be able to get the memory card back.

It doesnt work when i insert the card with my micro memory card and asks for a disk

Hi likkle_miss_,

The Micro adapter has no memory in it. It is just an adapter to use so you can plug your Micro SD memory card into a larger (SD) slot. The SD Micro memory card needs to be inserted into the adapter.

Memory Card Slot/USB not working

If you have your original Windows repair disk, run a repair installation, (**Not a reinstall and don't reformat, just a repair) this should be an easy way to fix your problem, taking maybe an hour.

Ps2 memory card

Hi Lofatman,

If this problem happens with the memory card when its in either slot 1 or slot 2

I suggest you clean the contacts of the memory card.

If it just happens when you have in Slot 1 or Slot 2 only,

Go to Radio Shack and get a Can of contact cleaner that has a Brush built into the Spray nozzle.

  1. Turn off the PS2 and disconnect the power cord.
  2. Use a small screwdriver to press open the memory card slot. Do not use too much force, its delicate.
  3. Push the Brush sprayer up into the memorycard slot and spray a little and brush away at the memory slot contacts.

if you do not have success with that, you must open the PS2 case, and Remove the Controler ports and clean up the whole controller port assembly.

If that doesn't work, and your frustrated and not Electronically skilled enough to do this.  I can get the PS2 in tip top shape, for $32 and that includes return shipping.  I run the website www.playstationclinic.com

This should put you in business.
