I need a diagram on how to assemble the drive control lever, not a diagram on how to assemble the drive control lever to the lawn mower
SOURCE: Hello I have a Craftsman eager 1 Lawn Mower model
The breather hose has nothing to do with it not starting. It starts when you prime the carb and dies when that gas is used up. Being a Tecumseh. it's most likely the bowl nut/jet stopped up. Unscrew the bowl nut and clean it. Look cery carefully at the top of the threads. There is probably a very small hole there also and it will not run if it is not open.
Testimonial: "Carb kit was on the money installed it on8/20/09 Started and Runs fine"

Hi,
I tried to find your specific number but had no luck. I did find a manual for 917-372850
The link below is the manual. Page 4 is the exploded view of the drive... I'm hoping it is similar to yours.

Hi, The first thing I always check for is fresh fuel (less than a couple of months old) old unleaded may well be fine in your car but low compression engines fitted to garden equipment need fresh fuel. next thing to check is that the choke flap is closing fully, dont rely on the position of the control lever, remove the airfilter cover and see that the flap is fully closed, if it's cracked open just a little bit it will stop engine starting ( unless the filter is really dirty) another thing to check is that the blade is tightly secured, on direct drive mowers the blade acts as a flywheel. did you hit an obstruction the last time you used it, if you did you may have sheared the flywheel key(poor spark on points ignition or good spark but timing out of sync on electronic ignition. hope this helps, regards Tony (England UK)
