I have a similar problem. We moved into an older home recently and noticed the Insignia 32" LED tv was having problems at startup. The blue light signifying "tv on" would flicker and it would return to red - with no picture. After a few tries, it would finally stay on. We have had the wiring in the home updated and during the update, the electrician noticed we have varying power in the sockets. He checked the main panel and one side was at 117V while the other was 120V. He felt this was a problem from the city hydro feeding into the home.

This is the only tv which gives us a problem though. Perhaps it's really sensitive - I'm a technopeasant and tonite after many many tries, the darn thing won't turn on at all. We get a faint blue light - just about turns on - then back to red.

I'm not sure whether I need to talk to the hydro company or whether it's a tv problem. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!!

By the way, the tv is two years old.

Power is on the TV (red light indicates power); when turned on green light comes on but TV will not stay on. In order to keep TV on, I have to unplug for 30 seconds and then turn the TV on with the remote. Is there a code or something I can use?

2.Change the battery in the remote controll.
3.Switch the channel manualy on the tv (with arrows...)

TV tries to start up, but locks itself in some kind of start-up loop, continually shutting down and attempting to start up again. After turning off the power bar the problem still occurs as soon as power is restored, even without trying to turn the TV on.

After that you only have left to check the manual tubelsolving part or the service.

If you have more product data I can help more.

Blinking of power LED are fault indications. Count the number of blinks occur at one time switch on. For this number, you can get an idea about the faulty section circuit inside it. It will make troubleshooting much narrower. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes, check this link. Pull up older posts there.

Philips 42PFL7603D/10 won't turn on flashes red 4 times slowly then red 6 times quickly

This is an indication of error codes for defects inside the TV. In order to ensure this is not caused by some erratic signal to system IC, switch off TV manually, Switch off power and remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry. If it does not work even then, the TV might need service.
