I've got a sony dav-dz100 for 6months now - everything works fine except the fact that it won't play Cds any more. It plays dvds without any problem but i've tried many audio cds (that i used to listen on that home theatre) without great success. I can hear it spinning but it says 'Cannot play' after some time. thanks for any response

I have the same system. I've had no trouble until a year ago, then the system got particular about when it wanted to play DVDs. I've also used lens cleaner to no avail. It plays some DVD's but plays all CD's and some copies. It has given me good service but cost me a lot of money. I hope there is a simple solution to this.
Hi, Yes, tis unit has 2 video inputs at rear so you can connect any other dvd player sound (analog or digital) to get 5.1 channel surround sound from DAV-C770 speakers. Click Sony Support to download user manual copy of DAV-C770 that has more details about connection setup. Hope this info will help you. Thanks.
i had this problem for copied dvds and cds and badley scratched ones when renting. never had the problem with genuine products. it seems to be able to dectect snide dvds but my 20 quid jobby in the bedroom will play them all !!!!!!
