Hi,
verify lid switch function first. you can bypass lid switch with jumper wire. unit will not spin out if lid is open. if switch goes bad it thinks lid is open when it is actually closed

Why won't Affinity fill or spin?

Probably there is water in the drum or the pressure switch is jam in a state of "full of water" or washing machine didn't drain water .. So, the fault should be sought in the elements responsible for control the level (pressure switch, pcb...etc.) or control draining water (drain pump, pcb, filter....etc.).
The precondition that the machine goes into a spin cycle is that pressure switch folded down to position "empty of water".

Machine will wash, spin and rinse but will not fully spin out and empty water on final spin

Possible that the drain valve/pump is clogged and so there is no flow or action of the vavle. Also if there is fault on the program controller then there is no output to the drain valve and so will not work to drain.
It is possible that since the spin and drain is effected the program controller must be checked. check leads and connections to the unit and the drain vavle.

Moffatt washer is washing and draining but not spinning out the clothes

All content © 2000 © 2009 Washerhelp
> Home / Repairs DIY washing machine advice (part 8) Washing machine sticks or stops mid-cycle repairs-sm.gif A very common fault on washing machines is when the program timer fails to complete the cycle and stops part way through. Many people blame the program timer for this but although it is a possible cause, there are many more likely causes for this fault. The program will stick if the heater isn't working, if the thermostat fails, if it can't fill up with cold water for the rinses, if it can't empty the water etc. There are too many possible causes of this fault to be able to give anything other than rudimentary advice. However, the common causes of a washing machine sticking that can easily be fixed are filling and emptying problems.
Check that the cold water supply is available to the washing machine, which is a common cause for sticking on rinses. If the washing machine appears to stop mid-cycle and isn't filling with water on rinses then see Washing machine won't fill with water (or no water goes into washing machine) before calling an engineer. If the washing machine can't drain the water out then it will stick on the rinses, or it will abort with an error code. If you can see water still inside the washing machine then check the following advice Washing machine won't empty water

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
