Re: wont work

Main board has blown and it aint unussual for modem board to go as well, too expensive to repair.

Might be able to claim under your insurance if you have fusion cover.....

Canon printer wont start after power outage

Confirm that the printer is still plugged into a working power outlet
try plugging this printer into a known verifiable working power outlet and then try powering it on
if it still doesn't power on I hate to say this but it would cost you more to get it repaired then for you to purchase new the current replacement model for the mx882 is the mx922(Amazon @ $99.00)

Hp color laserjet cp1215 wont turn on

try a different outlet, especially if you are using a power strip. Sometimes even one outlet in a strip can fail. Not sure how farther you tried other than check the power cord. If other devices work on the same outlet hole you plugged you machine into then, try another power cord. If that does not help then you will need to seek a tech.

OfficeJet 7410 wont boot up.

I would try resetting the power supply.
You can do this by unplugging the power adapter cable from the wall outlet.
Unplug the other end from the printer.
Unplug the power cable portion from the rectangular power adapter.
You should be left with a power cord, a power adapter, and a printer; All three are not plugged into anything. Leave it this way for 30 secs, then retry the turn-on process after plugging the cords back into where they belong. Also, try plugging straight into a wall outlet, and not into a surge protector.

If this is not working still, double check the outlet in question by testing it with an appliance like a hair dryer or lamp.

Good luck!

My printer is plugged in and all cords are connected, it just won't turn on? What could be causing this problem

1st - Could be a non-working outlet, Check the breaker for this outlet.
2nd - Could be a bad power cable or not inserted far enough making a good connection.
3rd - There could have been a power spike from a storm that blew a fuse in the printer.
4th - If no fuse, than something more serious has happend to the printer & needs repair or trash it & get another when there is a sale. Some can be bought for the price of the ink.

I hope it's 1, 2 or 3. Good luck.

The Mx310 will not power on. We had a few bad storms this week but the mx310 is on a surge protected outlet.

Those surge protectors are not really a good protection in heavy storms which means that the power unit did get damahged and therefore you may have to try and obtain a new power unit ... mybe try another unit that you are sure about its working condition to prove the problem. It may even be the printer itself the got damaged

Try a different known working outlet..If you still don't have any lights then try a different power cord. If there is still no power then the printer is bad. With all the storms we have had going on it could be a bad main board or blown caps or onboard fuses.

Try leaving the printer unplugged for a while and try it again. (Hold the power button down and see if it turns off.) If not, pull the plug out the back of the printer first (if possible) and then out of the wall. (Printers work best when they're plugged into ground outlets-the ones in the walls). Also unplug it from the computer. Hope this helps.

Remeber, warranty helps.

Power outage=shut down

You do not say your location- so this may not be relevant to you. If in UK - check the power cord fuse. If it is a model that relies on an external power supply- try to find anther of the same specification. Other than that presume it has died
